Blooms in summer and late summer with pink-red flowers with a white lip. Attractive to bumblebees, bees and butterflies. Fairly hardy. Deciduous. Can tolerate some cold, but should not be too wet in winter. Cutting the plant back in the spring results in a richer bloom.
